Dome aerial is Omni-directional and picks up mobile signals from all directions. To get stronger signals, please install as high as possible. Dome antenna is very suitable for marine applications and mobile vehicle applications.
The Dome aerial has 7 seven dB gain, and it is not directional. If the outdoor signal is too weak (below 3 bars), it is not recommended to use a dome antenna. You can take directional high gain Yagi Antenna instead. In a word, the Omni-dome antenna will work well where it is minimal 3 bars outdoor signals and coverage of multiple networks is required.
